The work consists of back-up and technical assessment for the project management, for supervision and surveillance of the work on “Improvement to the Puerto Rosario – Corralejo Pipeline. Regulating Tanks at Fimampaire and Tiscamanita, and Connection Branch Lines” and “Puerto del Rosario Desalination of Sea Water (2nd Phase).” Work ranges from the supervision of materials, measurements, geometric control, drawing up of reports and any work necessary for the correct execution of the units defined in the project.
Due to the linear character of the units, these works are located in various municipalities of the island of Fuerteventura, specifically:
- La Oliva
- Puerto del Rosario
- Antigua
- Tuineje
Among the actions foreseen in this project are replacements or improvements in the pipelines, both in the north and south zones, depending on the condition the network of domestic water supply is in. Likewise, also under project is the execution of three tanks to increase storage capacity and to allow pipeline operativity in the best conditions. In this project the installation of a sea water desalinator is also contemplated in the Puerto del Rosario Production Centre.
PIPELINES: the zone involved in this project has been structured into two zones, north and south, both with their corresponding sections to achieve greater comprehension of the actions proposed in each section, which are the following:
- NORTH ZONE:
- SECTION 1: LA HERRADURA – FIMANPAIRE, for this section, the project is to put 11,730 metres of tubing into place, of 400 millimetres in diameter and PN16.
- SECTION 2: LOMO DEL PUERCO – LA OLIVA, for this section, the project is to put 3,915 metres of tubing into place, of 315 millimetres in diameter and PN 16.
- SECTION 3: LOMO FRANCISCO – CORRALEJO, for this section, the project is to put 5,580 metres of tubing into place, of 315 millimetres in diameter and PN16.
- SOUTH ZONE:
- SECTION 1: LA CALDERETILLA – TRIQUIVIJATE, for this section, the project is to put 13,270 metres of tubing into place, of 400 millimetres in diameter and PN 16.
- SECTION 2: TRIQUIVIJATE – TISCAMANITA, for this section, the project is to put 14,750 metres of tubing into place, of 400 millimetres in diameter and PN 16.
- SECTION 3: TISCAMANITA – TIRBA, for this section, the project is to put 10,390 metres of tubing into place, of 250 millimetres in diameter and PN 16.
- SECTION 4: TRIQUIVIJATE – ANTIGUA, for this connection the project is to put 2,240 metres of tubing into place in a first section, of 315 millimetres in diameter, and a second section of 6,055 metres of tubing of 250 millimetres in diameter, both of PN 16.
- SECTION 5: PUMPING STATION – AMPUYENTA, the project is to put 2,130 metres of tubing in place of 100 millimetres in diameter and PN 16.
TANKS: the three tanks projected have been defined as of 5,000 m3 in capacity, although for the one located at Tiscamanita, enlargement work is foreseen to 10,000 m3. Below are details of the parameters of each one of them:
- LOMO FRANCISCO TANK: square base of 35.8 x 35.8 x 4.5 metres and capacity for 5,000 m3.
- TISCAMNITA TANK: square base of 35.8 x 35.8 x 4.5 metres and capacity for 5,000 m3, with a possible enlargement foreseen to 10,000 m3.
- LOMO DEL PUERCO TANK: rectangular base with dimension of 21x 43 x 6 metres and capacity for 5,000 m3.
SALT WATER DESALINATOR: a complete process is projected so that the group formed by the process building, the sea water intake, the storage tank and the pumping station for the water produced will be located inside the same piece of land. Below is a list of the main actions contemplated:
- PRODUCTION: the facility will be capable of producing 14,000 m3/day of desalinated water in two osmosis racks.
- SEA WATER CAPTURE AND PUMPING: a new sea water intake point will be built, by means of wells and new pumps for unfiltered water.
- PRE-TREATMENT: new physical pre-treatment based on filtration over sand.
- INVERSE OSMOSIS RACKS: 2 new racks will be designed and built with more efficient use of energy supply.
- STORAGE OF WATER PRODUCED: a new tank will be built for treated water.
- TRANSFORMATION CENTRE: a new transformation centre will be installed to supply the new sea water desalination station.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
- Expediting and securing all permits, licenses, inspections, sign-offs, and occupancy certificates required by jurisdictional agencies.
